Volunteers needed to help feed 300 families

THANKSGIVING BASKET
The church the Ryans (Liz, Liam, Evan, & Ian) attend, needs volunteers to help pack “Thanksgiving Baskets” in their food pantry. The “baskets” will provide families with everything they need to have Thanksgiving dinner. So far the church has over 300 families signed up to receive “Thanksgiving Baskets”. They are in need of more frozen turkeys to give to the families and need help packing and distributing the “baskets”. Here’s timeline of events:

  • On Monday, Nov. 23, at 8pm, the church need volunteers to pick up food at Annunciation Church in Crestwood NY .
  • Anytime on Tuesday, Nov. 24 you can bring the frozen turkeys to the hall where the packing will be done.
  • On Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 6:30pm, volunteers can come to the Hall to help assemble the Thanksgiving
“Baskets.” The air conditioning will be on, so be certain to dress for cold weather.
  • On the morning of Wednesday Nov. 25, the church will distribute baskets from 11am until approximately 2pm. Volunteers are needed around 10am to confirm registration, and distribute turkeys and bags. All volunteers are welcomed for whatever time they can give. Thanks from the church is given in advance for any assistance that you are able to provide!

The church is St. Mary’s Church, 23 South High Street Mount Vernon‎, NY‎ 10550.
