The Westchester County USBC Youth Bowlers rolled into Jefferson Valley Lanes on Sunday, October 26, 2014. The event, Westchester County Junior Bowlers Tour (WCJBT) is a series of 6 tournaments throughout the county which allows junior bowlers to compete for scholarship money which will be awarded at the end of the season.
Bowlers compete in separate handicap and scratch division; they bowl 5 games across 10 lanes in the qualifying round and then are cut to the top 40% for match play semi-finals. After the first 2 rounds the top five then compete in a step ladder finals to determine the champions.
As we made the trek up north this time and the turnout seems to be improving and there were a lot of walk-ons. Get your apps in early for the next stop to avoid the rush.
